This Privacy Policy explains how ProcrastiPet ("the app", "we", "our") handles information when you use our Android application. We have designed ProcrastiPet to work entirely on your device — no servers, no accounts, no tracking.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. The app does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any identifying details.

All data generated while you use the app — focus sessions, your pet collection, streaks, achievements, preferences and notification settings — is stored only on your device using the device's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

2. Data Storage

ProcrastiPet stores the following data locally on your device:

  • Focus session history (dates and durations)
  • Your pet collection and rarity records
  • Daily streak count
  • Achievement progress
  • Daily challenge progress and token balance
  • Notification preferences and scheduled times
  • Theme preference (light / dark / device)

This data is cleared if you uninstall the app or use the "Clear data" option in Android settings. You can also export and import this data yourself via the app's built-in Export / Import feature — the resulting JSON file stays under your full control.

3. Push Notifications Local only

The app can send push notifications (streak reminders, session nudges, etc.) if you grant notification permission. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device using Android's local notification system. No notification data is sent through any server or third-party push service.

4. Third-Party Services

ProcrastiPet does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or social SDKs. No data is shared with or sold to any third party.

5. Permissions

The app may request the following Android permissions:

  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to send local focus reminders (optional; the app works fully without it).
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — to reschedule local notifications after the device restarts.
  • SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM — to deliver notifications at the times you configure.

No permission is used to access your contacts, location, microphone, camera, or files.

6. Children's Privacy

ProcrastiPet is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because no data leaves your device, there is no risk of unintentional collection.

7. Data Security

Because all data is stored locally on your device, security depends on your device's own security mechanisms (lock screen, encryption). We recommend keeping your device software up to date.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves (for example, if we add new features that handle data differently). Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. The URL of this page remains constant, so you can bookmark it for reference.
